Prevalence of Food Consumption Inadequacy in Subulussalam City Reaches 8.02% in 2024

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the prevalence of undernourishment (Prevalence of Undernourishment/PoU) in Subulussalam City, Aceh reached 8.02% in 2024.

This figure increased by 0.72% from the previous year's 7.3%, while over the last 5 years, it decreased by 0.13%.

The average PoU in Indonesia was 8.27% in 2024. This means that the PoU in Subulussalam City is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life. This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition insecurity conditions.
