The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in South Sulawesi with weekly average vaccinations above the regional average, currently recorded at 1,222.33 doses as of Monday, April 4, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with average vaccination figures above 2,000 doses are Gowa, Bone, and Jeneponto, with values of 2,489 doses, 2,471 doses, and 2,181 doses respectively.
Gowa ranks first with a weekly average vaccination of 2,489 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 758,240 doses. In the national dashboard recapitulation data, the achievement of complete vaccination in this region has reached 55.62 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in the next 27 days. This remaining usage period is calculated from the remaining stock recorded at 69,158 doses, and vaccine usage is the highest in South Sulawesi.
Next is Bone in second place. The achievement of complete vaccination in this district has reached 60.57 percent. Compared to the previous week, the weekly average vaccination in this district reached 2,471 doses. The available vaccine stock in this district will run out in the next 29 days. This remaining usage period is calculated from the remaining stock recorded at 73,588 doses.
Next is Jeneponto with a weekly average vaccination of 2,181 doses; the complete vaccination coverage has reached 44.16 percent. Bulukumba has a vaccination rate of 1,082 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 51.97%, and Maros has a weekly average vaccination of 1,076 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 50.44%.
Areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to participate in reducing COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
