The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities in North Maluku with an average weekly vaccination rate above the regional average of 204 doses as of Saturday, May 21, 2022.
The average vaccination rate for the top three districts/cities, exceeding 300 doses, are Ternate City (442 doses), North Halmahera (315 doses), and West Halmahera (292 doses).
Ternate City ranks first with an average weekly vaccination rate of 442 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 207,570 doses. In the national dashboard recapitulation, the complete vaccination achievement in this region has reached 60.46 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this city will run out in 34 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the available stock of 15,446 doses, and vaccine usage is the highest in North Maluku.
Next is North Halmahera in second place. The complete vaccination achievement in this district has reached 58.87 percent. Compared to the previous week, the average weekly vaccination in this district reached 315 doses. The available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 183 days. This remaining usage period is calculated from the remaining stock recorded at 57,755 doses.
Next is West Halmahera with an average weekly vaccination of 292 doses; complete vaccination coverage has reached 39.13 percent. Central Halmahera has a vaccination rate of 207 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 111.3 percent, while South Halmahera has an average weekly vaccination of 203 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 51.2 percent.
Areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun (7,506 doses), Rokan Hulu (6,305 doses), and Central Lampung (6,083 doses).
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
