In 2023, conventional crimes were the most prevalent in Indonesia, accounting for 86.61% of the total criminal acts recorded by the police.

Other types of crimes were less frequent, with transnational crimes at 11.94%, crimes against state assets at 1.22%, crimes with contingency implications at 0.02%, and human rights violations at 0.01%.
