The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities in West Sumatra with weekly average vaccinations above the provincial average of 1,375.11 doses as of Friday, June 10, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with averages exceeding 2,000 doses are Padang Pariaman, Lima Puluh Kota, and Pesisir Selatan, with 3,165 doses, 2,025 doses, and 1,766 doses respectively.
Padang Pariaman recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in West Sumatra at 3,165 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 279,180 doses have been used. National dashboard data shows that the region has achieved 62.79% full vaccination coverage.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 40 days. This calculation is based on the remaining stock of 129,680 doses and the highest vaccine usage in West Sumatra.
Following Padang Pariaman is Lima Puluh Kota with 2,025 doses. Vaccination in this district is reported to be lower. Daily statistics show no change in the weekly average vaccination rate compared to the previous day.
Next is Pesisir Selatan with a weekly average vaccination of 1,766 doses. Full vaccination coverage has reached 61.87%. Pasaman has a weekly average vaccination of 1,520 doses and 76.47% full vaccination coverage. Tanah Datar has a weekly average vaccination of 1,250 doses and 66.04% full vaccination coverage.
Outside Java, some areas with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
