The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities with a weekly average vaccination rate above the DKI Jakarta average, which currently stands at 6,833.5 doses as of Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
The top three districts/cities with figures above 8,000 doses are South Jakarta, West Jakarta, and East Jakarta, with values of 11,318 doses, 8,694 doses, and 7,856 doses, respectively.
South Jakarta recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in DKI Jakarta with 11,318 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 7.36 million doses have been used. In the national dashboard recapitulation, the complete vaccination achievement in this region has reached 153.5 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this city will run out in the next 18 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the remaining stock of 211,820 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in DKI Jakarta in the last week.
Following South Jakarta is West Jakarta with 8,694 doses. Vaccination in this city is reported to be lower. The daily average weekly vaccination statistics remain unchanged compared to the previous day.
In addition to these two regions, the top five for average weekly vaccination also include East Jakarta with 7,856 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 98.95 percent; Central Jakarta with 7,187 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 202.78 percent; and North Jakarta with 5,856 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 121.34 percent.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
