Two Percent of the Population in Sambas Regency is Protestant

The Protestant population in Sambas Regency as of December 31, 2023, was recorded at 12,105 individuals. Compared to the previous year, the number of residents adhering to the Protestant faith in the regency/city increased by 460 individuals.

According to data from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Ditjen Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the proportion of Protestants in this regency/city reached two percent of the total population in 2023, which numbered 645,600 individuals.

Considering its distribution relative to the population of each area in West Kalimantan, the proportion of Protestants in Sambas Regency ranks 13th.
