The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities in West Sumatra with a weekly average vaccination rate above the provincial average of 1,375.11 doses as of Monday, April 11, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with vaccination rates above 2,000 doses are Padang Pariaman, Lima Puluh Kota, and Pesisir Selatan, with 3,165 doses, 2,025 doses, and 1,766 doses respectively.
Padang Pariaman recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in West Sumatra at 3,165 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 279,180 doses have been used. Based on national dashboard data, the region has achieved 57.21% complete vaccination coverage.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 40 days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the available stock of 129,680 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in West Sumatra.
Lima Puluh Kota follows in second place. This district has achieved 76.97% complete vaccination coverage. Compared to the previous week, the weekly average vaccination rate in this district reached 2,025 doses. Vaccination in this district is reported to be lower. Daily statistics show no change in the weekly average vaccination rate compared to the previous day.
Next is Pesisir Selatan with a weekly average vaccination rate of 1,766 doses and 57.78% complete vaccination coverage; Pasaman with 1,520 doses and 74.66% complete vaccination coverage; and Tanah Datar with a weekly average vaccination rate of 1,250 doses and 64.41% complete vaccination coverage.
Some areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccination rates of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
