Public trust in young village heads remains low in Indonesia. This is evident from the Central Statistics Agency's report titled "Village Government Finance Statistics 2021," which shows that village heads under 31 years old only account for 1.94%.
According to the BPS, this low percentage indicates that public trust in young village heads is still low, unlike older village heads who tend to be more trusted by the community.
Village heads in the 41-50 age group, for example, account for 42.90%, the highest percentage among other age groups of village heads.
Next, the percentage of village heads in the 51-60 age group reaches 30.51%, ranking second highest in the country.
Then, village heads in the 31-40 age group account for 19.40%, while those aged 60 and above account for 5.25%.
