The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in South Sumatra with weekly average vaccinations above the provincial average of 2,741.75 doses as of Friday, June 3, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with average vaccination figures above 3,000 doses are Ogan Komering Ulu Timur, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan, and Muara Enim, with 5,804 doses, 3,175 doses, and 2,784 doses respectively.
Ogan Komering Ulu Timur ranks first with a weekly average vaccination of 5,804 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 764,540 doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard recapitulation, complete vaccination coverage in this region has reached 75.73 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in eight days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the available stock of 51,919 doses, and vaccine usage is the highest in South Sumatra.
Following Ogan Komering Ulu Timur is Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan in second place. Complete vaccination coverage in this district has reached 78.25 percent. Compared to the previous week, the weekly average vaccination in this district reached 3,175 doses. The currently available vaccine stock is 59,582 doses, estimated to last 18 days.
Besides these two regions, also in the top five is Muara Enim, with a weekly average vaccination of 2,784 doses and complete vaccination coverage reaching 75.96 percent; Ogan Komering Ulu with 2,380 doses and 77.31% complete vaccination coverage; and Musi Rawas with a weekly average vaccination of 2,285 doses and 73.67% complete vaccination coverage.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
