The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded two districts/cities with a weekly average vaccination rate above the average in Bangka Belitung Islands Province, which currently stands at 964.29 doses as of Saturday, May 14, 2022.
The average vaccination rate for the top three districts/cities with figures above 1,000 doses are Bangka, Pangkal Pinang City, and Belitung, with values of 2,073 doses, 1,271 doses, and 960 doses respectively.
Bangka recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in Bangka Belitung Islands Province with 2,073 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 413,140 doses. In the national dashboard data recapitulation, the achievement of complete vaccination in this region has reached 76.28 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will soon run out in the next 12 days. This remaining usage period is calculated from the remaining stock recorded at 25,091 doses, and vaccine usage is the highest in Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
Next is Pangkal Pinang City, which recorded a weekly average vaccination rate of 1,271 doses, lower than the previous week. Pangkal Pinang City is ranked second. With the average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will be sufficient for the next 46 days. The remaining vaccine stock currently amounts to 59,068 doses.
Then, the weekly average vaccination in Belitung is 960 doses and the achievement of complete vaccination is 89.74 percent; the weekly average vaccination in Bangka Barat is 825 doses and the achievement of complete vaccination is 78.74%; and the weekly average vaccination in Belitung Timur is 668 doses and the achievement of complete vaccination is 91.36%.
Areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission in some areas has decreased, the government urges everyone to participate in reducing COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the rate of coronavirus transmission.
