The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities in West Java with a weekly average vaccination rate above the provincial average of 10,720 doses as of Saturday, May 14, 2022.
The top three districts/cities with average vaccination rates above 14,000 doses are Bogor, Bandung, and Sukabumi, with 25,291, 15,027, and 14,222 doses respectively.
Bogor recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in West Java with 25,291 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 5.64 million doses have been used. National dashboard data shows that the region has achieved 78.88% full vaccination coverage.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 12 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the available stock of 305,100 doses and the highest vaccine usage in West Java.
Bandung, with a weekly average vaccination rate of 15,027 doses (lower than the previous week), ranks second. With this average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will last for 17 days. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 266,180 doses.
Following this, Sukabumi has a weekly average vaccination rate of 14,222 doses and 78.26% full vaccination coverage; Cirebon has a weekly average vaccination rate of 11,723 doses and 79.56% full vaccination coverage; and Garut has a weekly average vaccination rate of 10,594 doses and 83.76% full vaccination coverage.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccination rates of 7,506, 6,305, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
