According to a survey conducted by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and the Katadata Insight Center (KIC), Indonesian citizens generally value cultural diversity when interacting on social media.

A majority, or 68.7%, of respondents agreed that people should consider the cultural diversity, religion, and age of their social media friends when sharing information.

This survey involved 10,000 respondents spread across Indonesia's 34 provinces. Respondents were members of households aged 13-70 years old who had accessed the internet in the past three months.
