The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in Riau with an average weekly vaccination rate above the provincial average of 3,240.67 doses as of Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with averages exceeding 4,000 doses are Rokan Hulu, Rokan Hilir, and Kampar, with 6,305 doses, 5,382 doses, and 4,135 doses respectively.
Rokan Hulu recorded the highest average weekly vaccination rate in Riau with 6,305 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 639,640 doses have been used. Based on national dashboard data, the region has achieved 76.19% complete vaccination coverage.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in six days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the available stock of 39,306 doses and the highest vaccine usage rate in Riau.
Next is Rokan Hilir, which recorded an average weekly vaccination rate of 5,382 doses, lower than the previous week. Rokan Hilir is ranked second. With this average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will last for eight days. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 43,694 doses.
Also in the top five, besides the two regions above, are: Kampar with an average weekly vaccination rate of 4,135 doses and 67.02% complete vaccination coverage; Indragiri Hilir with 3,184 doses and 77.48% complete vaccination coverage; and Bengkalis with 2,489 doses and 76.44% complete vaccination coverage.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
