The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in Banten with weekly average vaccinations above the provincial average of 4,844.38 doses (data as of Sunday, May 15, 2022).
The top three districts/cities with average vaccination rates above 7,000 doses are Serang, Tangerang, and Tangerang City, with 11,723 doses, 8,431 doses, and 6,648 doses respectively.
Serang recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in Banten with 11,723 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 1.08 million doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard data recapitulation, the region has achieved 60.02% complete vaccination coverage.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in Serang will run out in eight days. This calculation is based on the remaining stock of 96,835 doses and the highest vaccine usage in Banten.
Next is Tangerang, which recorded a weekly average vaccination of 8,431 doses, lower than the previous week. Tangerang is ranked second. With this average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will be sufficient for 31 days. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 264,200 doses.
Also in the top five, besides the two regions above, are: Tangerang City with a weekly average vaccination of 6,648 doses and 88.62% complete vaccination coverage; South Tangerang City with 4,295 doses and 88.23% complete vaccination coverage; and Pandeglang with a weekly average vaccination of 2,709 doses and 66.07% complete vaccination coverage.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Central Lampung, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
