The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded one district/city in Riau Islands with a weekly average vaccination rate above the average, currently recorded at 1,179.43 doses as of Saturday, May 14, 2022.
The average vaccination rate for the top three districts/cities with figures above 800 doses are Batam City, Karimun, and Tanjung Pinang City, with values of 5,369 doses, 960 doses, and 836 doses respectively.
Batam City recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in Riau Islands with 5,369 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 1.88 million doses. In the national dashboard data recapitulation, the achievement of complete vaccination in this region has reached 102.66 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this city will run out in the next 12 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the available stock of 65,920 doses, and vaccine usage is the highest in Riau Islands.
Next is Karimun, which recorded a weekly average vaccination rate of 960 doses, lower than the previous week. Karimun is ranked second. With this average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will be sufficient for the next 28 days. The remaining vaccine stock currently amounts to 26,982 doses.
Next is the weekly average vaccination rate in Tanjung Pinang City at 836 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 93.51 percent; the weekly average vaccination rate in Bintan at 479 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 92.54 percent; and the weekly average vaccination rate in Natuna at 283 doses and a complete vaccination achievement of 89.08 percent.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to participate in reducing COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
