The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least one regency/city has a Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 4.15 percent. This average is higher than last week's 4.08 percent, based on data from Saturday, August 27, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BORs exceeding 37.5 percent are Sorong, Luwu Utara, Tanah Bumbu, Banjar, and Manggarai Timur, with values of 60.87 percent, 52 percent, 45.94 percent, 43.05 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR in most regencies/cities outside of Java. 72 regencies/cities recorded a higher daily BOR than before, while 67 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Sorong, Luwu Utara, and Tanah Bumbu, with BORs of 60.87 percent, 52 percent, and 45.94 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
