The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded an average of 28.5 percent for the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination among elderly people in West Papua, based on KTP (identity card) data, as of March 6, 2022. This figure is lower than the national average, which currently stands at 68.37 percent.
Tambrauw Regency has the highest first-dose vaccination rate among the elderly based on KTP data, at 49.22 percent. This shows an improvement compared to the previous week's figure of 48.73 percent.
The same positive trend is observed in Fakfak Regency, which recorded a 43.69 percent first-dose vaccination rate among the elderly based on KTP data. This is higher than the previous week's 43.18 percent. South Sorong Regency follows, with a first-dose vaccination rate of 40.44 percent among the elderly based on KTP data.
Sorong City and Sorong Regency are next, with first-dose vaccination rates of 38.47 percent and 33.45 percent respectively among the elderly based on KTP data.
Nationally, the average first-dose vaccination rate among the elderly based on KTP data across the 34 provinces is currently on an upward trend, compared to the previous week's figure of 66.91 percent.
