The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 283 regencies/cities had elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, which currently stands at 298.66 percent (data as of Wednesday, October 5, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 587.05 percent are Solok City, South Jakarta City, Garut, Yogyakarta City, and Aceh Singkil, with respective values of 911.7 percent, 641.4 percent, 600.9 percent, 600.6 percent, and 587.05 percent.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in elderly vaccination rates above previous levels was recorded in 394 regencies/cities.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Solok City, Aceh Singkil, and Bukittinggi City, with elderly vaccination rates of 911.7 percent, 587.05 percent, and 575.5 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
