The top five districts/cities with agglomeration death rates due to COVID-19 exceeding 1.14 per 100,000 population per week are Tana Tidung, Sawahlunto City, Prabumulih City, Sitaro, and Barru, with respective rates of 3.25, 1.55, 1.52, 1.48, and 1.14 per 100,000 population per week.
National COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily agglomeration death rate higher than previous figures was recorded in 23 districts/cities, while 12 districts/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to COVID-19 include Tana Tidung, Sawahlunto City, and Prabumulih City, with respective rates of 3.25, 1.55, and 1.52 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
