Based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 143 regencies/cities aggressively conducted Covid-19 tests in the last week, exceeding the national average. Data as of Monday, September 26, 2022, shows a national average of 138.53 tests per week.
The top five, starting from the highest, are Jepara, West Bandung, Malang, Kudus, and Pekanbaru City, with 947, 934, 921, 905, and 893 tests per week, respectively.
Jepara ranks first, with 947 tests per week. The latest positive rate is 1.8 percent, lower than the previous week.
Next is West Bandung, which conducted 934 tests per week in its efforts to counter the Covid-19 pandemic. The positive rate in this region is 5.14 percent, also lower than the previous week.
Malang recorded 921 tests per week, Kudus 905 tests per week, and Pekanbaru City 893 tests per week.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 156 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of daily tests in the last week compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, 193 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of tests in the last week compared to the previous week.
Outside Java, some regions with the highest number of tests per week include Pekanbaru City, Bandar Lampung City, and Samarinda City, with 893, 831, and 711 tests per week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
