This testing achievement data is calculated based on the number of people tested compared to each region's weekly target, which is then reported to the Ministry of Health.
The top five, starting from the highest weekly testing percentage, are Balikpapan City (606.52%), Mimika (444.2%), Surakarta City (434.17%), Jayapura City (402.92%), and Tarakan City (349.62%).
Balikpapan City ranks first. With a population of 646,020, its weekly testing percentage is recorded at 606.52 percent. The latest positive rate is 4.92 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Next is Mimika. The population of this region is recorded at 221,810. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly testing percentage is 444.2 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 7.54 percent, an increase compared to the previous week's percentage.
Furthermore, the weekly testing percentage in Surakarta City is recorded at 434.17 percent, Jayapura City at 402.92 percent, and Tarakan City at 349.62 percent.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, there are 92 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report a higher daily weekly testing percentage than before. Meanwhile, 111 other regencies/cities recorded a lower weekly testing percentage compared to the previous week's testing.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest weekly testing percentage ratios include Balikpapan City, Mimika, and Jayapura City, with weekly testing percentages of 606.52 percent, 444.2 percent, and 402.92 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue participating in reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water.
