The Ministry of Health released data showing that 69.96 million doses of booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia as of Friday, February 24, 2023. This figure represents 29.81 percent of the national Covid-19 vaccination target. The national Covid-19 vaccination target is recorded at 234.66 million doses. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the daily increase in Covid-19 booster vaccinations yesterday nationwide was recorded as one dose.
Based on provinces, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.81 million doses. The highest number of Covid-19 booster vaccine recipients in West Java is in Bogor Regency with 1.63 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency with 1.11 million, Bekasi City with 1.01 million, Bekasi Regency with 1 million, Cianjur Regency with 931,720, and Bandung City with 914,470.
Booster vaccination achievement in East Java is in second place nationally, with 9.54 million doses. In this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, namely 1.33 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.71 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten with 5.43 million, 4.29 million, and 3.06 million booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
