The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 71 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Saturday, August 27, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 7.29 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Central Jakarta, Magelang City, Banjar, Banda Aceh City, and Sorong, with respective values of 10.94 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.66 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.32 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.29 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 14 regencies/cities, while 38 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banjar, Banda Aceh City, and Sorong, with respective inpatient use rates of 8.32 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.29 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
