At that time, Ambon's air quality was categorized as "good," meaning pollutant levels were very minimal. Bulungan followed in second place with an air quality index of 41, and Kendari was third with an index of 42.

Based on the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 14 of 2020 concerning the Air Pollutant Standard Index, KLHK classifies air quality index as follows:

* 101-200: Unhealthy
* 201-300: Very Unhealthy
* 300+: Hazardous
Therefore, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 7 PM WIB, cities with good air quality were Ambon, Bulungan, Kendari, Banda Aceh, Denpasar, Samarinda, and Balikpapan. The other three cities, Manokwari, Gorontalo, and Rokan Hilir, had moderate air quality.
