The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least three regencies/cities have a weekly BOR above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 3.99 percent. This average is up from last week's 3.8 percent, based on data from Friday, October 7, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 37.5 percent are Fakfak, Majene, Gorontalo, Tasikmalaya, and Manggarai Timur, with values of 100 percent, 66.07 percent, 61.9 percent, 45.24 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR of most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 75 regencies/cities, while 64 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Majene, and Gorontalo, with BORs of 100 percent, 66.07 percent, and 61.9 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
