A survey by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC), in collaboration with Change.org and Kawal Covid-19, reveals that 13.4% of Indonesians have never encouraged their family and relatives to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. Of this group, 81.4% cited their right to choose whether or not to participate in the vaccination program as their reason.
17% of respondents believed their family and relatives did not trust the corona vaccine. Furthermore, 16.8% of respondents stated that their family and friends were already aware of the need to get the corona vaccine.
8.1% of respondents did not recommend the corona vaccine because their family and friends had religious objections. 5.2% of respondents stated that their family and relatives did not believe in the existence of corona.
2.5% of respondents never recommended the corona vaccine because they themselves did not need it. And 1.5% of respondents cited numerous cases of vaccine side effects as their reason.
0.9% of respondents did not recommend the corona vaccine because they considered it ineffective. The remaining 2.7% of respondents did not recommend the corona vaccine for other reasons.
This online survey involved 8,299 respondents from August 6-22, 2021. Of these, 1,113 respondents stated they had never recommended the corona vaccine to their family and relatives.
