Kepulauan Meranti Regency has the highest number of weekly confirmed COVID-19 cases, at 1.05 per 100,000 population per week. The situation in this regency shows no improvement, as it represents an increase compared to the previous week's figure of 0.52 per 100,000 population per week.
A similar situation is observed in Dumai City, which recorded 0.63 weekly confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population. This also shows an increase compared to the previous week's figure of 0.32 per 100,000 population per week. Bengkalis Regency follows with 0.52 weekly confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Pekanbaru City and Siak Regency are next, recording 0.33 and 0.19 weekly confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
Nationally, the average number of weekly confirmed COVID-19 cases across the 34 provinces is showing a downward trend compared to the previous week's figure of 0.28 per 100,000 population per week.
