Indonesia's COVID-19 Testing: 259,060 Specimens per Day (Tuesday, October 26, 2021)

Indonesia conducted 259,060 thousand COVID-19 tests on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. This number is higher than the previous day's testing. To date, a total of 45.52 million specimens have been examined.

The average number of specimens tested has increased. The average is 246,120 thousand specimens per day throughout October. In September, the average COVID-19 test was 231,440 thousand specimens per day.

The number of specimens tested includes antigen tests, Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests, and rapid molecular tests (TCM).

Meanwhile, the total number of people tested with RT-PCR on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, was 55,390, bringing the total to 16.43 million people. Compared to the population, the ratio is 60,340 people per one million inhabitants.

In addition to specimen testing, to suppress the spread of COVID-19, the government urges the public to more strictly implement the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, washing hands with soap, and maintaining distance and avoiding crowds.
