The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 68.72 million doses of booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia as of Wednesday, April 19, 2023. This figure represents 37.85 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target. The national COVID-19 vaccination target is recorded at 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in COVID-19 booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 5,344 doses.
By province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.47 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency has the highest number of COVID-19 booster vaccine recipients, with 1.59 million doses. Following are Bandung Regency (1.1 million), Bekasi City (979,770), Bekasi Regency (967,720), Cianjur Regency (912,610), and Bandung City (897,710).
Next is East Java, in second place, with 9.38 million booster vaccines administered. Within East Java, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, at 1.31 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.57 million booster vaccines administered. This is followed by DKI Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.35 million, 4.2 million, and 2.99 million booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
