Average Years of Schooling for Subang Residents Up to 6th Grade in 2025

The average years of schooling (RLS) for residents aged 25 years and above in Subang, West Java, reached 7.68 years in 2025.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the RLS for residents in the region was below the average for West Java Province, which reached 9.14 years in 2025.

Subang's RLS increased by 0.22 years (2.95%) compared to the previous year, which was 7.46 years. Meanwhile, in the last five years, the RLS increased by 0.58 years (8.17%).

This RLS indicates that the average Subang resident only attended school up to the 7th grade level. However, this RLS is still below the national average RLS of 9.07 years in 2025.

Compared to 26 other regencies/cities in West Java Province, Subang's RLS was in 24th position. Other regions in the province with the highest RLS were Bekasi City (12.11 years), while the lowest RLS was Indramayu Regency (7.06 years).
