The top five, starting from the highest, are Sikka, Tasikmalaya City, Sukoharjo, West Bandung, and Ambon City, with weekly specimen counts of 944, 935, 934, 924, and 899, respectively.
Sikka ranks first. With a population of 324,280, the number of specimens examined is 944 per week. The latest positive rate is 1.08 percent. The positive rate in this region increased compared to the previous week.
Next is Tasikmalaya City. The region's population is 685,850. In efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, 935 specimens were examined per week. The positive rate in this region is 10.34 percent, also higher than the previous week's ratio.
Following is Sukoharjo, with a population of 903,750, recording 934 specimens examined per week. West Bandung recorded 924 specimens examined per week, and Ambon City recorded 899 specimens per week.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 123 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher daily number of specimens examined than before. Meanwhile, 185 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of specimens examined compared to the previous week.
