Several districts/cities in West Sulawesi province still record quite low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Polewali Mandar Regency, Mamuju Regency, and Majene Regency.
As of Monday, October 11, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 191,540 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 711,690 vaccine recipients.
Polewali Mandar Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded a 25.72% vaccination rate, the lowest among the six other districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 370,050 participants. The average vaccination rate last week was 1,228 participants. The available vaccine stock is 60,494 doses.
Next is Mamuju Regency, which has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a target of 211,370 vaccine recipients, only 27.28% or 57,669 participants have been vaccinated. The average vaccination rate last week was 602 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 17,818 doses.
Majene Regency is ranked third. With a target of 130,260 vaccine recipients, only 29.71% or 38,702 participants have been vaccinated. The average vaccination rate last week was 374 participants. The available vaccine stock is 9,386 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in West Sulawesi has reached 33.33%, covering 1.61 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 20.79%, covering 1.01 million vaccine recipients.
