The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 20 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 0.42 percent as of Friday, March 24, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 13.08 percent are Surabaya City, Sidoarjo, Purwakarta, Garut, and Tangerang, with values of 22.63 percent, 22.63 percent, 15 percent, 15 percent, and 13.08 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing figures higher than previous days were recorded in 0 regencies/cities, and one regency/city recorded lower tracing.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing values include Tarakan City, North Tapanuli, and Serdang Bedagai, with tracing rates of one percent, zero percent, and zero percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
