Several districts/cities in East Nusa Tenggara province still record quite low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include South Central Timor Regency, Malaka Regency, and East Flores Regency.
As of Tuesday, October 19, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 144,460 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 674,440 vaccine recipients.
South Central Timor Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded 20.46% vaccination. This is the lowest compared to the other 22 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 334,780 participants.
Next is Malaka Regency. This area is ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 136,060 participants, only 21.14% or 28,769 participants have been vaccinated. In this region, the average weekly vaccination rate last week was 643 participants. The available vaccine stock is 8,476 doses.
East Flores Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 203,600 participants, only 23.18% or 47,200 participants have been vaccinated. In this region, the average weekly vaccination rate last week was 986 participants. The available vaccine stock is 20,226 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in East Nusa Tenggara has reached 35.59%, covering 1,360,000 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 19.9%, covering 762,420 vaccine recipients.
