This testing achievement data is calculated based on the number of people tested compared to each region's weekly target, which is then reported to the Ministry of Health.
The top five, starting from the highest, are South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, Balikpapan City, and Badung Regency, with ratios of 922.03 percent, 827.92 percent, 582.93 percent, 575.31 percent, and 571.15 percent, respectively.
South Jakarta ranks first. The weekly percentage of people tested there was recorded at 922.03 percent. The latest positivity rate is 8.35 percent. The positivity rate in this region increased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Central Jakarta. The population of this region is recorded at 913,720 people. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly percentage of people tested was 827.92 percent. The positivity rate in this region is recorded at 7.19 percent, also an increase compared to the previous week's percentage.
Then, East Jakarta recorded 582.93 percent testing, Balikpapan City, with a population of 646,020 people, recorded a weekly testing percentage of 575.31 percent, and Badung Regency, with a population of 727,950 people, recorded a weekly testing percentage of 571.15 percent.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, there are 144 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report a higher daily weekly testing percentage than before. Meanwhile, 232 other regencies/cities recorded a lower weekly testing percentage compared to the previous week's testing.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest weekly testing percentage ratios include Balikpapan City, Badung Regency, and Mimika Regency, with weekly testing percentages of 575.31 percent, 571.15 percent, and 531.25 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue to reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
