Several districts/cities in East Kalimantan province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Kutai Kartanegara Regency, North Penajam Paser Regency, and Paser Regency.
As of Tuesday, February 1, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 686,110 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 892,810 vaccine recipients.
Kutai Kartanegara Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has completed 76.29% of its vaccination program. This is the lowest figure compared to the other 10 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 548,230 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area was 2,130 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 105,660 doses.
Next is North Penajam Paser Regency, ranking second lowest. With a vaccination target of 135,020 participants, the vaccination realization has reached 76.82%, or 103,720 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area was 1,171 participants. The available stock is 21,822 doses of vaccine.
Following is Paser Regency, ranked third lowest. With a vaccination target of 209,560 participants, the vaccination realization has reached 78.34%, or 164,160 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area was 1,051 participants. The available stock is 49,158 doses of vaccine.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in East Kalimantan has reached 90.61%, covering 2.6 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 69.45%, covering 2 million vaccine recipients.
