The United States ranks first, with a weekly growth of 1.74 percent in Omicron cases. GISAID recorded 2.16 million Omicron cases in the country. Daily cases in this region increased by 0.16 percent compared to the previous day.
The United Kingdom follows, with a weekly growth of 0.23 percent in Omicron cases. The number of Omicron cases reported in the country is 1.39 million. Daily statistics show a 0.01 percent increase in Omicron cases compared to the previous day, totaling 1.39 million.
Next, the number of Omicron cases in Germany increased by 0.78 percent to 524,120 cases compared to the previous week. Japan reported 354,580 Omicron cases (a 2.37% increase), and Denmark saw a 0.36 percent increase to 348,970 cases compared to the previous week.
