Average Schooling Duration of East Sumba Regency Residents Still Below National Average

The average schooling duration (RLS) of residents aged 25 and over in East Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara was 7.94 years in 2025.

Quoting data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the RLS of residents in this region was below the East Nusa Tenggara provincial average of 8.22 years in 2025.

East Sumba's resident RLS increased by 0.17 years (2.19%) compared to the previous year's 7.77 years. Meanwhile, over the last five years, this RLS has increased by 0.82 years (11.52%).

This RLS indicates that East Sumba residents have an average schooling level up to 7th grade. However, this RLS is still below the national average RLS of 9.07 years in 2025.
