Weekly Confirmed Positive Cases in Barito Timur Highest in Central Kalimantan

The highest increase in confirmed positive Covid-19 cases in Central Kalimantan currently occurred in Barito Timur, with 1.6 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Sunday, December 19, 2021. This figure is 0 cases higher than the second-highest region.

Furthermore, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, nine regencies/cities in this province recorded no increase in confirmed Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.

The Covid-19 transmission situation in Barito Timur appears to have not improved. This is indicated by the number of cases this week, which is still higher than the previous week's figure of 0.8 cases per 100,000 population per week.

Next in second place is Sukamara. This regency recorded weekly confirmed cases reaching 1.5 cases per 100,000 population. Compared to last week's three cases, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases this week is lower.

Also in the top five, besides the two regions mentioned above, are Palangkaraya City, Kapuas, and Kotawaringin Timur. Each recorded weekly confirmations of 1 case, 0.3 cases, and 0.2 cases, respectively.

Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health, yesterday's Covid-19 data showed that there were 280 regencies/cities in Indonesia that did not record any confirmed Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
