Food Prices Today January 09 in Central Java: Red Chili, Chicken Meat, and Red Cayenne Pepper Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (9/1/2026) at 13.54 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include premium rice, red onions, premium packaged palm cooking oil, and bulk granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler eggs, large red chilies, broiler chicken meat, curly red chilies, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onions saw the highest increase of Rp93 (0.26%) to Rp35,519 per kg. Red cayenne pepper prices dropped the sharpest by Rp1,704 (4.26%) to Rp38,259 per kg.

6. Honan Garlic: Rp32,278 per kg (stable)
7. Curly Red Chili: Rp32,111 per kg (down 2.09%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,046 per kg (down 0.03%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,963 per liter (up 0.09%)
