The United States ranks first, with weekly Omicron cases growing by 2.39 percent. GISAID recorded 1.69 million Omicron cases in the country. Daily cases in this region increased by 0.56 percent compared to the previous day.
The United Kingdom follows in second place. Compared to the previous week, the number of Omicron cases in the country grew by 0.29 percent. Daily Omicron cases increased by 0.09 percent compared to the previous day, totaling 1.29 million.
Next is Germany, with 425,000 Omicron cases (a 1.04% increase). Omicron cases in Denmark increased by 1.33 percent to 287,560 compared to the previous week, and cases in France increased by 1.03 percent to 268,410 compared to the previous week.
In Indonesia, as of Thursday, September 15, 2022, there were 21,704 Omicron cases, a 0.16 percent increase compared to the previous day. Since first being monitored, Omicron cases in Indonesia have continued to rise.
