Only 23.3% of the population has ever recommended COVID-19 vaccination.

Research by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) shows that only 23.3% of respondents admitted to ever having encouraged others to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. This support took the form of advising, registering, and accompanying others (family, friends) for Covid-19 vaccination.

Conversely, the majority of the public admitted to never having encouraged others to get the Covid-19 vaccine. This is reflected in the responses of 72.8% of respondents.

In the LSI research, 82.6% of the public admitted to not yet having received the Covid-19 vaccine. 63.6% of them stated their willingness to be vaccinated.

Meanwhile, 36.4% of respondents refused to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. Their reasons included concerns about side effects after immunization, vaccine ineffectiveness, and non-halal status. In addition, some respondents also considered themselves to have strong immunity and good health, thus not needing the vaccine.

LSI conducted a national telephone survey from June 20-25, 2021. This research involved 1,200 randomly selected respondents from all provinces in Indonesia. The survey's margin of error is ±2.88% with a 95% confidence level.
