The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 60 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.03 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Saturday, October 8, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 exceeding 0.91 deaths per 100,000 population per week are Natuna, Minahasa, Fakfak, Minahasa Tenggara, and Tomohon City, with respective values of 3.68 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.45 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.21 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.93 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.91 deaths per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 higher than before was recorded in one regency/city, while four regencies/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 include Natuna, Minahasa, and Fakfak, with respective agglomeration death rates of 3.68 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.45 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 1.21 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
