The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 31 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.34 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, February 6, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 1.11 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Blitar City, Toli Toli, Metro City, Madiun City, and East Sumba, with values of 4.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.24 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.13 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.11 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Seven regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than before, while 11 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Toli Toli, Metro City, and East Sumba, with inpatient utilization rates of 1.24 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.13 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.11 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
