The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 80 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 7.23 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Banda Aceh City, Kediri City, Tomohon City, Madiun City, and Teluk Bintuni, with respective values of 8.92 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.88 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.15 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.23 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient utilization was recorded in 33 districts/cities, while 37 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Banda Aceh City, Tomohon City, and Teluk Bintuni, with inpatient utilization rates of 8.92 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.15 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.23 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
