The highest increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in NTT currently occurred in Ngada, with three cases per 100,000 people per week as of Saturday, June 4, 2022. This figure is 1.4 cases higher than the second-highest region.
The COVID-19 transmission situation in Ngada does not appear to be improving. The Ministry of Health recorded no weekly cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the region the previous week.
Kupang city is in second place, recording two weekly confirmed cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Compared to the previous week, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases this week is still higher, meaning no improvement is evident.
Rounding out the top five are Manggarai Barat, Sumba Tengah, and Kupang, recording 1.37, 1.32, and 0.74 weekly confirmed cases, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five districts/cities in the top 10 are Sumba Timur, Manggarai, Belu, and Timor Tengah Utara. These regions recorded an average increase of over 0.28 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The good news from this province is that 14 districts/cities recorded no increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants per week.
Other information from today's daily COVID-19 data statistics shows that 132 districts/cities in Indonesia recorded a higher increase compared to the previous week, and 140 other districts/cities recorded lower weekly confirmations than the previous week.
Furthermore, 318 districts/cities in Indonesia currently report no confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants per week.
