Average Length of Schooling of Tanjung Jabung Barat Population Still Below National Average

The average length of schooling (ALS) for the population aged 25 and over in Tanjung Jabung Barat, Jambi, was 8.32 years in 2024.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the ALS for the population in the region was below the Jambi Province average, which was 8.9 years in 2024.

The ALS for the population of Tanjung Jabung Barat increased by 0.01 years (0.12%) compared to the previous year, which was 8.31 years. Meanwhile, over the last five years, the ALS rose by 0.62 years (8.05%).

This ALS indicates that the average resident of Tanjung Jabung Barat only attends school up to the 8th grade level. However, this ALS is still below the national average ALS of 8.85 years in 2024.
