The top five regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 exceeding 0.87 per 100,000 population per week are Teluk Bintuni, Pariaman City, Mentawai Islands, East Seram, and Soppeng, with respective rates of 1.45, 1.08, 1.01, 0.87, and 0.87 per 100,000 population per week.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. Four regencies/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 than previously, while 13 regencies/cities recorded a lower rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 include Teluk Bintuni, Pariaman City, and the Mentawai Islands, with rates of 1.45, 1.08, and 1.01 per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
