Average Length of Schooling for Pasaman Residents Rises to 8.14 Years

The average length of schooling (RLS) for residents aged 25 years and over in Pasaman, West Sumatra, was 8.14 years in 2024.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the RLS for residents in the region is below the average for West Sumatra Province, which was 9.44 years in 2024.

The RLS for Pasaman residents increased by 0.01 years (0.12%) compared to the previous year, which was 8.13 years. Meanwhile, in the last five years, the RLS has increased by 0.28 years (3.56%).

This RLS indicates that the average Pasaman resident only attends school up to the 8th grade. However, this RLS is still below the national average RLS of 8.85 years in 2024.
